Visteon secures OEM orders for microZone display tech

Visteon Corporation says that its microZone display technology is to be used in a multi-display system set to feature in multiple premium and performance vehicles by a US OEM which are due to be launched in 2024.

According to the company, its microZone technology is the first of its kind in the industry and gives manufacturers a choice beyond organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) for automotive applications. Visteon says it developed microZone to address the industry demand for a high-quality display that delivers a premium experience, while meeting stringent automotive-specific requirements.

To this end, the displays are said to provide a high-dynamic range display solution with a longer lifespan and low-power consumption and lower cost than OLED systems.
