A protocol conformance test case package for the new 5G Next Generation eCall (NGeCall) systems from Rohde & Schwarz, the PCT5-KC625, has been validated by the 3GPP Global Certification Forum (GCF). R&S was first to submit to the protocol to the GCF, which enables NGeCall module manufacturers to meet the test requirements for successful NGeCall type approval.

This development supports early testing of NGeCall systems, along with a new software add-on from the company – the R&S CMX-KA098 – for the R&S CMX500 One Box Tester, which provides testing functions for NGeCall.
