Toyota Land Cruiser gets updated with new diesel and hybrid engines

Toyota has unveiled an updated version of the Land Cruiser off-roader with a stronger chassis, new transmission, and the option of a hybrid powertrain. The diesel engine will be available with a 48V mild hybrid system in 2025. The vehicle has improved off-road ability and features electric power steering. Pre-sales will open later this year, with deliveries starting in the first half of 2024. A limited edition model with classic round headlights will also be available.
