FEV opens lab for customized battery systems and cells in Germany
A new facility for manufacturing and testing battery cells has been opened in Aachen, Germany, by FEV, a vehicle developer and sustainable mobility solutions provider specialized in the development of battery systems and their components.
The laboratory will focus on analysis and benchmarking of battery cells regarding performance, lifetime and safety behavior. Operations at the new laboratory will begin at the end of 2023.
“The cell is a key component for the performance of battery systems and thus crucial for the success of electric vehicles and applications,” said Dr Michael Stapelbroek, vice president of electric powertrain at FEV.
