Volkswagen experiences significant surge in electric vehicle sales

Volkswagen Group has seen a 45% increase in electric vehicle (EV) sales, delivering over half a million EVs in the first nine months of 2023. EVs now account for 7.9% of Volkswagen’s deliveries, up from 6.1% in 2022. Europe remains the key growth driver, with a 61% increase in EV deliveries, while the Americas saw a 74% increase. The Volkswagen ID.4 was the most popular model, followed by the ID.3 and Audi’s Q4 e-tron.
