Hyundai begins construction on new European R&D facility

Construction is underway at Hyundai’s new R&D facility at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC) in Germany. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2025. According to Hyundai, the focus of the new labs will be ADAS, infotainment functions and electrification.

State-of-the-art resources available to Hyundai’s engineers will include the company’s largest 4WD NVH dyno, said to be capable of measuring a full vehicle line-up in one platform, along with two chassis dynos and a powertrain dyno.
