Micron launches quad-port SSD for software-defined vehicles

The Micron 4150AT is a quad-port SSD designed to simplify data management in advanced automotive systems and was showcased at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany.

The platform is capable of interfacing with up to four systems on chips (SoCs) to centralize storage for software-defined intelligent vehicles.

The automotive-grade SSD integrates features such as single-root input/output virtualization (SR-IOV) and a PCIe Generation 4 interface, to deliver enterprise-class speeds to consumer vehicles.

With random read and write speeds exceeding 600,000 and 100,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS) respectively, the 4150AT SSD aims to handle data streams from multiple SoCs.
