BMW i Ventures invests in cloud simulation company Simr

BMW i Ventures has announced its investment in Simr, a cloud simulation company that provides engineers with a unified platform to utilize any compute resources with any leading simulation tool.

Simr recently launched its Simulation Operations Automation (SimOps) platform, which aims to improve product design, verification and testing by automating complex simulations in the cloud.

Formerly known as UberCloud, Simr secured $20m in Series A funding led by Uncorrelated Ventures, with additional investments from BMW i Ventures and Uncorrelated Ventures.
