Fortescue has completed the acquisition of test, research and engineering facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire, that it says supports its commitment to “advancing green technology and zero-emission solutions”.
The facility will enable Fortescue to expand its prototype, manufacturing and testing capabilities, enabling in-house management and control of the majority of product testing. The site is located close to Fortescue‘s existing battery manufacturing facility in Banbury.
With a floor plan of 2,339m2, the test site contains multiple test cells, a workshop, a battery prototype and development area, as well as a number of test control centers and control chamber facilities.
