Eatron and Syntiant introduce AI BMS-on-chip
Eatron Technologies, a specialist in battery management, and Syntiant, a leader in edge AI, have collaborated on the development of a new system-on-chip that aims to address battery performance and safety challenges in light mobility, industrial and consumer electronics applications.
The AI-BMS-on-chip integrates Eatron’s Intelligent Software Layer with Syntiant’s low-power NDP120 Neural Decision Processor to unlock up to 10% additional battery capacity and extend battery lifespan by up to 25%.
According to the companies, the AI-BMS-on-chip delivers high performance and efficiency by integrating pre-trained models from Eatron to provide accurate state-of-health, state-of-charge and remaining useful life assessments.
