IPG launches CarMaker 14.0 with heavy-duty vehicle applications and simulation upgrades

Version 14.0 of IPG Automotive’s CarMaker simulation software introduces versatile sensor models, more realistic simulation environments and new tools tailored for heavy-duty vehicles.  

Testing of ADAS involves simulating a wide range of real-world scenarios. On highways, this includes varied traffic densities and driving maneuvers, while in urban settings, interactions with pedestrians are key. CarMaker 14.0 enhances flexibility in controlling autonomous vehicle and pedestrian behavior, providing more realistic simulations for these critical situations.

Sensors are another vital component in ADAS development, and the new release supports a broad array of customizable sensor models, including a new 4D radar model, further strengthening its simulation capabilities.
