New testing infrastructure opens at Toyota Arizona Proving Ground
New facilities constructed at the Toyota Arizona Proving Ground (TAPG) were recently opened during an event attended by local government officials.

The facilities includes a new 5.5-mile oval track constructed inside the existing 10-mile oval, using part of its south straightaway. The track is available for vehicle mileage accumulation, stop-and-go testing, and dynamics and high-speed evaluation. The north straightaway of the original oval has been rebuilt into a dog-bone straight course for vehicle and ADAS testing, incorporating a 1.75-mile coast-down surface to assess vehicle efficiency and fuel economy.
