Siemens updates Simcenter Testlab software to reduce physical prototypes

Updates to the Siemens Simcenter Testlab will help advanced manufacturers on their journey to zero prototypes, and support faster product development.

The updates provide an increase of up to a 50% overall efficiency in complex impact testing campaigns, Siemens says. This can help engineers reduce time by reusing existing CAD data to define instrumentation and points for impact. The additional support for using multiple hammers in testing enables engineers to extend the frequency range, something that is necessary for evaluating the characteristics of EVs.
